What is DNS?

DNS stands for Domain Name System, and it is the Internet’s way of converting the websites you type in to IP (Internet Protocol) – in order to reach the destination address and display it back on your browser. DNS makes our lives easier so we don’t have to memorize numeric combinations of IP addresses and alphanumeric codes. We can just type in the website name and it does the rest for us.
